On August 15, 2024, our Lions Club organized a heartfelt community service initiative to distribute LKR 3,000 worth of food supplies to 12 selected underprivileged families. This compassionate effort aimed to alleviate the hardships faced by these families, providing them with essential food items to help meet their basic needs. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including District Governor Lion Prasad Gamage, Region 8 Chairperson Lion Nishantha Romesh, and Zone 2 Chairperson Lion Raweendra Prasad. We were also joined by Cabinet Officer Lion Vipul Jayaratne, Ladies Committee member Lion Sagarika Jayaratne, Region 8 Treasurer Lion Jayanthi Haputhanthri, and President of the Lions Club of Galle Royalty Lion Amara Diwakara Liyanarachchi.
