The Lions Club of Colombo West successfully organized a Free Medical Treatment Camp for all ailments and a Beauty Tips Session on 15th March 2025 at Lindsey Balika, Colombo-03. A dedicated team of 15 Ayurvedic Doctors provided their expertise, and their contributions were acknowledged on the event banner. This meaningful community service project was also supported by Girl Guiding students and Red Cross students as part of their own initiatives. All participants were awarded certificates for their involvement. Our dedication made an impact, serving 180 students and 300 villagers in this rural community. Together, we accomplished 15 impactful service activities, spreading hope and joy. A special thanks to Lion Srimathie for her invaluable legal advice to the rural community.

Christmas carols & Procedural art of making Christmas Cards and Birthday Cards

On 26th December 2024 Colombo West organized Christmas carols and Lion Manel Gamage demonstrated to 50 youthful inmates of the Jinananda orphanage at Sugatha Temple at Wellawatta the procedural art of making Christmas Cards and Birthday Cards. The Carols were sung by the Girl Guides of LindsayGirls School organized by their Guide Captain Lion Kanchana Udalagama. All Young children including the girl Guides were given refreshments and gifts.

As a project for Colombo West Lions Club Lion Ranjith Kodikara MJF and Lion Srimathie Kodikara,MJF, bought a walker and donated it to a 85 years old senior citizen from Thalahena namely Mrs. Kalyanawathie. They wanted her to attend one of their meetings to receive this donations but as it was difficult for her to travel Lion Ranjith and Srimathie went to her residence and donated the Walker to her. She Thanked and blessed the Club.

Lion Thanuja Senaviratna conducted youth mentorship perogramme ' Believe in you' at Sacred Heart Convent Galle for 120 students. The programme was focused on changing your personality to achieve your SMART goals. Believe in you – programmes are structured to help youth to develop personality. Our prime goal is to help find the true self, capabilities, defeat fears, strengthen growth mindset, build resilience, with faith in self. ‘Each person is good at something’. Our mission will be to help youth to find themselves, smartness, capacities, minimize weaknesses and threats to be that unique person. ‘Believe in you’ workshops are structured to 13 -30 year age groups inclusive all cultures, backgrounds, locations and abilities to bring personal development to make that unique personality to bring social impact through helping them to find themself and plan their own development goals to reach it successfully.
