Empowering Women Through Skincare Awareness with Chandanalepa - program 2

A skincare awareness program was conducted at the Galle Municipal Council Auditorium on 19th November 2024, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, in collaboration with Chandanalepa, a renowned institution in Sri Lanka. This program aimed to educate and empower 102 women on proper skincare practices. Chandanalepa generously sponsored the event with skincare products valued at LKR 86700, ensuring each participant received a comprehensive skincare package. Additionally, refreshments for the participants were provided at a cost of LKR 13200. Eight Lions actively participated in organizing and managing the program, dedicating their time to making this event a success.

Empowering Women Through Skincare Awareness with Chandanalepa - program 1

In collaboration with Chandanalepa, a renowned Sri Lankan beauty care institution, a women’s empowerment initiative was conducted at the Galle Divisional Secretariat Auditorium. The event aimed to educate women about skincare and personal grooming. A total of 282 women participated in this program, each receiving a personalized beauty care package valued at 850 LKR. Additionally, refreshments were provided for the participants at a cost of 33000 LKR. The event was held on November 19, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM, and involved 12 Lions. The total project cost amounted to 239,700 LKR which was sponsered by Chandanalepa Company.

Clean Up Sri Lanka Beach Cleaning Project

Parallel to the CleanUp Sri Lanka islandwide project, this project was implemented under the guidance of Lion Prasad Gamage, DG of 306A2, Lions Club of Matara Rahula, Lions Club Matara, and Leo clubs of Matara School children, their parents, and well-wishers. Most of our club members joined the project with their spouses and children. specially joined the Children of Finland foster parent scholarship program with their guardians. Additional District Secretary of the Matara district secretariat Mrs. Lakmali Ransika Thenuwara also participated as an invitee. A stretch of more than 1 km of the beach was cleaned removing all non-degradable debris including bottles cans bags and many items. This was a successful project done in the recent past.
