A Clear Vision for All: Free Eye Checkups and Spectacles for Sight Day

By lions Club of MATARA ELEGANCE on 2025-02-16
Project Chairman : Chanaka Jithmal Solaman

On behalf of Sight Day, our club, organized a free eye screening camp for over 120 family members of Primary Model School students. This initiative aimed to detect vision impairments and guide those in need toward proper eye care solutions. Following the checkups, individuals diagnosed with weak eyesight were referred for further examinations and corrective lenses. Additionally, our club generously donated 110 pairs of reading glasses to those requiring them, ensuring that financial limitations did not hinder access to proper vision care. This program not only raised awareness about eye health but also provided practical support to those in need. By facilitating early detection and offering free spectacles, we contributed to enhancing the quality of life for many, reinforcing our dedication to community well-being and accessible healthcare.
