Believe in You - Youth Personality Development / mentorship programme

Sacred Heart Convent - Galle

Lion Thanuja Senaviratna conducted youth mentorship perogramme ' Believe in you' at Sacred Heart Convent Galle for 120 students. The programme was focused on changing your personality to achieve your SMART goals. Believe in you – programmes are structured to help youth to develop personality. Our prime goal is to help find the true self, capabilities, defeat fears, strengthen growth mindset, build resilience, with faith in self. ‘Each person is good at something’. Our mission will be to help youth to find themselves, smartness, capacities, minimize weaknesses and threats to be that unique person. ‘Believe in you’ workshops are structured to 13 -30 year age groups inclusive all cultures, backgrounds, locations and abilities to bring personal development to make that unique personality to bring social impact through helping them to find themself and plan their own development goals to reach it successfully.

Awareness in Rural Community Health

Dr Aruni, two nursing staff from Nursing school National Hospital Galle conducted a health awareness programme to 97 senior citizens who attended the programme at the temple. Dr Aruni educated the attendees on common community illnesses, importance of balance diets, heathy livelihoods. They were really pleased to gather the knowledge to uplift their health and day today life. The project was assisted by Lion Kumari Indira Kandambi

Donation of diabetic screening strips

Senior citizens of the area attended the medical screening camp and were tested for fasting blood sugar. The needles and strips were donated for the camp by Lion Vijitha Kandambi and Lion Kumari. 97 adults were screened for FBS The camp was led by Dr Aruni from National Hospital Galle.

Lion Vijitha Kandammbi and Lion Kumari Kandambi organised and sponsored a diabetic screening camp at Galwadugoda Temple Galle for the senior citizens in the area. There were 97 adults who attended the camp. We were assisted by Dr Aruni from National Hospital Galle and two student nurses from the Nursing school. Group was led by Lion Vijitha Kandambi who is a Senior Medical Scientist from National Hospital Galle.
