Family Gathering

We organized a club family gathering in Beliatta with together Vadiya Silva Vidyalaya project. About 30 club members and family members joined for the event and several non lions also joined. We spent about 100,000 for the event, however since we don't have bills for all the expenses only transport is claimed here. Other than that foods, bites, drinks and spent for other entertainment items.

Healing with Heart: Support Project for Children Battling Cancer

On April 12, from 9 AM to 1 PM at Texas Higher Education Institute, Galle, a heartfelt Lions project was held to support 26 children undergoing cancer treatment at Karapitiya Hospital. Each child received Rs. 5,000 for essential medicine and nutrition, while refreshments and care packs worth Rs. 7,800 were provided for their accompanying parents. The total donation amounted to Rs. 147,840. The event included musical entertainment, bringing moments of joy to children facing immense physical and emotional hardship. Most come from low-income families and struggle not only with illness but with accessing basic education and care. This initiative, funded by Lion Stanley Liyanage along with Lions Methsiri and Chaminda Godakanda, brought hope and relief. The presence of 16 Lion Cabinet Officers including Lion Governor Elect Jagath Weerasinghe and several regional leaders marked the significance of the project, earning deep appreciation from the children and their families.

ARMS GIVING FOR APEKSHA HOSPITAL

We donated 1200 king coconuts to Apeksha Hospital Maharagama on 7th April. President Lion Manjula Nishantha, Lion Indika Rajapakshe, Lion Chandani Fernando, Lion Chandima Aluthge and few other Lions participated for the event. Management of Apeksha Hospital has requested to provide not less than 1200 king coconuts on that day to treat patients with king coconut water who are staying at the hospital and also for daly patients .

On April 17, the Lions Club of Boralesgamuwa Business Circle organized a special musical program at Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, to bring joy and emotional relief to the in-house patients.
