As a new initiative to promote interfaith harmony and unity, the Lions Club actively participated in the Thaipongal festival held at Galle Sri Kadira Weelayudan Kovil on January 14, 2025. The event, conducted as a spiritual and cultural gathering, aimed to foster goodwill and togetherness among diverse communities. The Lions Club invited numerous individuals from various backgrounds to attend, ensuring a diverse and vibrant participation. They made a financial contribution of 10,000 LKR to support the festival and demonstrated active involvement by assisting in its organization. Four Lions members participated in this initiative, showcasing their commitment to strengthening cultural bonds and upholding the club's values of service and unity.
