The water aerobics session, led by Lion Kithsiri Ihalagamage, President of the Lions Club of Wellawatte West, was highly beneficial for the wellness of Region 01 Lions. A total of 22 Lions actively participated. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you for conducting an insightful session on how to stay healthy using traditional methods. The distribution of Rath Daala traditional rice packs to all participants was a thoughtful gesture that emphasized the importance of incorporating wholesome foods into our diets. |

This is to certify that our Lions Club has arranged monthly scholarships for 36 underprivileged children as part of our ongoing service efforts. The total scholarship disbursement amounts to Rs. 49,500. The breakdown is as follows: Rs. 2,500 per student for 3 students: Rs. 7,500 Rs. 2,000 per student for 7 students: Rs. 14,000 Rs. 1,500 per student for 6 students: Rs. 9,000 Rs. 1,000 per student for 16 students: Rs. 16,000 Rs. 750 per student for 4 students: Rs. 3,000 The project is chaired by our veteran Lion Chitral Jayawardena, who has successfully arranged sponsorships through his close relatives in Australia. We carry out this project through our Help-A-Student Account at People’s Bank, Kirulapona Branch (Account No: 319-1-001-9-1141096). This has been our signature project for nearly 10 years. |
