Galle Kithulampitiya Ananda Vidyalaya
A sanitation project aimed at supporting schoolgirl students at Galle Kithulampitiya Ananda Vidyalaya was conducted from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, under the leadership of Senior Cabinet Officer and Prison Commissioner, Lion Jagath Weerasaighe, in collaboration with the HER Foundation. The initiative was organized with the participation of 10 Lions, including Health Officer Dilashini from Northern Colombo, and with the support of Anjali Nelson, Managing Director of the HEMAS Group. Lion Methsiri de Silva, President of the Galle Legends Club, served as the project chairman.
Around 110 schoolgirls and 22 school staff members were engaged in the project, which focused on improving hygiene and sanitation conditions by providing dedicated facilities for female students. The initiative aimed to enhance the health, well-being, and comfort of the students, promoting better learning conditions and awareness of sanitation practices.
