A cricket skills development program was successfully conducted for the students of Galle Samanalapitiya Kridapitiye Pasal, with an impressive participation of 1,223 students. The initiative aimed to enhance cricketing abilities and promote teamwork among the youth, featuring practical training sessions and workshops to teach essential techniques.
The project was chaired by Lion Ranjith Jayalathileke, with support from Region 8 Zone 2 Chairperson Lion Raveendra Prasad, Lion Methsiri De Silva, Lion Swarnamala Jayathilake and Lion Chandima Hewawithana. The program was honored by the presence of special guest Galle Division SSP Mr. Kalum Thilakarathne, who emphasized the importance of sports in youth development.
With a total cost of LKR 337,250, this initiative not only aimed to improve cricket skills but also fostered a sense of discipline and camaraderie among students, contributing to the growth of cricket in the region and inspiring future athletes.
