Project Sihina, organized by the Lions Club of Alubomulla in partnership with the Leo Club of Panadura Alubomulla, aimed to uplift and support mentally challenged students at Camila School, Mattegoda. Taking place on September 15th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the initiative focused on addressing the emotional and physical needs of over 48 students.
During the planning phase, the team collaborated closely with school officials and mental health professionals to tailor activities to the unique needs of differently-abled students, ensuring a meaningful and lasting impact on the local community. Through this project, the clubs aimed to create an inclusive environment and promote awareness about mental health challenges.The day began with blessings from local monks, fostering an atmosphere of peace and compassion. Students were treated to a nourishing lunch, serving as a meaningful gesture of care and community. A key highlight of the event was a musical therapy session.
