On April 25th, from 7pm to 8pm, the Lions Club of Galle Legends carried out a compassionate community service project at Galle Dadalla Walawwatta, No. 45/2, the residence of Nirosha Sandamali. The project was presided over by Club President Lion Methsiri De Silva, with Region 8 Zone 1 Chairperson Lion Upul Chandrasekara also in attendance. Lions Suranga Rajamanthri and Chaminda Godakandage participated in this initiative. A wheelchair worth LKR 48,000, funded by Lions Club members, was donated to a disabled woman, a mother of one, who had fractured her leg after slipping while doing household chores. The mother was overjoyed and extended her heartfelt thanks to the Lions Club, expressing deep appreciation for their generosity and the inspiring vision of the Lions movement. This project showcased the club’s continued commitment to uplifting lives and serving the community with compassion.
