The Lions Club of Galle Karapitiya, in collaboration with Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) of the Elpitiya area, organized a dedicated Eye Clinic for the kindergarten students of MHS Preschool, Elpitiya and importance of eating healthy foods. This initiative was part of their ongoing commitment to early childhood health and vision care.
The clinic aimed to identify any early signs of visual impairments and ensure proper eye development in young children. With the support of trained professionals and PHIs, students underwent basic eye examinations in a comfortable and child-friendly setting.
At the end of this event we distributed a cup of fruit salad for the participants.
This proactive effort not only raised awareness among parents about the importance of early eye care but also highlighted the value of community partnerships in supporting the health and well-being of our youngest learners.
