Our club successfully conducted a Health Awareness Project for the parents and family members of students from the school School, benefiting 120 participants with free medical checkups. The initiative was led by Dr. Harshana Erabeddagoda, a dedicated Lion member of our club, and his wife, also a doctor. The camp provided blood pressure and diabetes screenings, along with consultations for other ailments, referring patients for necessary tests and specialist care at no cost. This initiative significantly impacted the community, allowing participants to identify health concerns early and gain essential medical knowledge. Many attendees were unaware of their health conditions, and through this project, they received guidance on preventive care and treatment options. By offering accessible healthcare, we strengthened our commitment to the well-being of these families and reinforced the importance of regular health checkups for a healthier community.
