On February 4, at Sathmina Colour Lab Karapitiya , Galle, a compassionate initiative took place to support a struggling mother from the Weerapaana area near Galle-Akurassa. Facing financial hardships, she was preparing for the birth of her second child. Based on medical recommendations, essential items, food, and nutritional supplies were donated to assist her. Additionally, school books and necessary educational materials were provided for her elder child. This generous contribution was personally funded by Lion Rasika Wimali, an active member of the Legends Lions Club. The mother and child expressed deep gratitude, finding immense relief and happiness through this act of kindness. The essential maternity supplies will greatly ease her upcoming childbirth experience. A total of three Lions participated in this heartfelt initiative, reaffirming the club’s commitment to community welfare.
