Ampara General Hospital
13 very needy patients who were in list for cataract operation who couldn't afford cataract surgery were taken to Ampara hospital under sponsorship for surgery by the hospital director Dr Ranga Chandresena was arranged by Lion Thanuja.
All patients were warmly welcomed by the hospital staff, they were registered for the admission, and all meals as well as accommodation was provided by the hospital from 31st December to 6th January.
12 patience were successfully faced the surgery and one was referred to special care and was referred to Eye surgeon Dr Lalitha at Karapitiya. One cataract operation cost the hospital Rs 100000 and they were given all medicine too.
