On 28th September 2024, we successfully removed plastic waste at Wellawatte Station, Wellawatte Beach, with around 60 volunteers joining us. A big shoutout to Lion Kanchana and the Girl Guides of Lindsey Balika and their parents for their participation. Certificates and gifts were awarded to participants, including the girls from the Guide group. Shradda TV covered our project, and we connected live to Lakviru Radio Channel online during the clean-up!

Contribution of Rs.10,000 was made towards the Children's Day celebration held on October 1, 2024, at "Ape Gama." The members of the Lions Club of Wellawatte West took 50 underprivileged children from Arethusa College in Wellawatte to this event, with transportation generously sponsored by our club. It made a significant difference in the lives of these children, allowing them to enjoy refreshments, gifts, and entertainment throughout the day. This wonderful program was organized by Multiple District 306, Lions International.
