Magamithuru - Awareness programme on Road safety

We had our Finland Foster students their parents and guardians to receive their scholarship funds on 17th August. Lions Club of Galupura Central have planned bringing holistic education to our foster kids to become a useful citizen to country. Statistics have proven that out of road accidents the youth is taking a major potion of it. The project coordinator Lion Jayamini got the Galle police traffic OIC to come and deliver an awareness and strict advice on road safety, common accidents, causes of accidents, safety procedures when walking, riding bicycles, crossing road, using public transport. Awareness of risk mitigation, how to avoid dangers on road. They were made aware how important their lives and not to get their lives in threat. They understood ‘Safety is first’. "Donation of Primary Sanitary Project"

A donation of Rs.15,000.00 was made to Dharmashoka College in Ambalangoda to support their Primary Sanitary Project. The funds will be utilized for the purchase and installation of necessary sanitary equipment and materials, contributing to the well-being and comfort of the students. This contribution is a step towards improving the overall health standards at the school, aligning with the broader goal of promoting better hygiene and sanitation practices among young learners.

"Monthly Donation for Medical and Education support"

The ongoing project involves a monthly donation of Rs.5,000.00 to support a poor child with an abnormal medical condition. The child belongs to an underprivileged family that is unable to afford the necessary treatment and care. This financial assistance helps to cover the child's medical and educational support. The product aims to provide consistent support over the entire year, contributing a total of Rs. 60,000.00. The primary goal is to improve the child's quality of life and alleviate the family's financial burden.
