ව්‍යාපෘති සභාපති සිංහ සිසර කුමාරගේ අදහසකට අනුව මේ වසරේ අප සිංහ සමාජයේ ලේ දන්දීමේ වැඩසටහන මාර්තු මස 22 වන සෙනසුරාදානම් කහපොළ ධම්මචරණ විහාරස්ථානයේදී පැවැත්වීමට කටයුතු සූදානම් කෙරිණි,මෙහිදී රුධිරය ලබාදීමට 140 වැඩි පිරිසක් පැමිණියත් රුධිරය ලබාදීමට හැකි වූයේ 118 රුධිරය ලබාදීම සහ පැමිණි සියලු අයවලුන් හට කිරි පැකට්,කෙසෙල්,සැන්විච් සහ කේක් සැදුම්ලත් ආහාර පාර්සලයක් ලබා දෙන ලදී.

ආරෝග්‍යාභිමාණි : A Ray of Hope for Little Warriors

Our club made a heartfelt donation of 170 packets of Isocal and Sastacal, nutritionally complete, purpose-formulated powders designed to feed patients unable to receive adequate nutrition orally. These were donated to children battling cancer at Apeksha Hospital. The donation was handed over to the hospital’s donation unit in the presence of First Lady Lion Nimna Dodanwala and the Director of Apeksha Hospital, Dr. Aruna Jayasekara. Of the total, 104 tins were donated by our club members, while the remaining 66 were generously contributed by non-Lions supporters. This project goes beyond just giving; it’s about offering hope, love, and support to children and families facing the toughest battles. It was an emotional and deeply meaningful initiative—one of the most impactful and touching projects our club has had the privilege to be part of.

කැස්බෑව සංස්කෘතික මධ්‍යස්ථානයේ සභාපතින්ම ගයන්ත වීරසිංහ මහතා විසින් කළ ඉල්ලීමක් අනුව ව්‍යාපෘති සභාපති සිංහ දේවිකා ගුණතිලකගේ සංවිධානයෙන් ප්‍රදේශයේ වැඩිහිටි ජනතාව වෙනුවෙන් මිරිස්වත්ත පිළියන්දල සිංහ සමාජයේ පූර්ණ අනුග්‍රහයෙන් 2025 මාර්තු 19 දින පැලැන්වත්ත සංස්කෘතික මධ්‍යස්ථානයේ මෙම බහු සේවා ව්‍යාපෘතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන ලදී.

Attending to Lions Club of Galle Royalty - Future Builders Program

The Future Builders Program was organized to support students who passed their Grade 5 scholarship exam, helping them to improve their educational skills. The event, held at the school with the participation of the principal and the entire teaching staff, was led by Region 8 Zone 2 Chairperson Lion Raveendra Prasad. The program was organized by Galle Royalty Lions Club, and Lion Ranjith Jayathileke, Charter President of Galle Legends Lions Club, also participated and represented the club at the event. During the program, the children received guidance and teachings, promoting the Lions vision and contributing to their educational development. The project aimed to provide valuable learning experiences for the students, furthering the Lions Club's commitment to community service and education.

Dharma School Event for 87 Students Organized by Legends Lions Club

Under the leadership of Lion Anosha Niranjala Jayawardene, the Legends Lions Club organized a Dharma School event at the temple, where 87 students participated in a session aimed at enhancing their skills in ethics and wellbeing. The project, which had a total participation of 120, focused on developing good character and abilities in the students. As part of the event, 12 Lions members from the Legends Lions Club joined in. The students enjoyed singing Buddhist hymns and patriotic songs, and the atmosphere was filled with spiritual and emotional energy. The project also provided meals, tea, and ice cream at the end. Throughout the event, the participants and Lions were filled with joy and satisfaction, as it was a meaningful experience, fulfilling the vision of the Lions to contribute to the betterment of the community.

Scholarship for Three Students to Support Their Education Needs

This project provides educational support for three students from the same house at No. 128 D, Dehigaspa Pitabaddala: K. Thisara Denuwan, a student at Thelijjawila Central College, K. Vihanga Nethuwan, a student at Matara Rahula College, and K. Manuli Mansandi, a student at Dudley Senanayake College. Each student will receive Rs. 5,000 worth of school supplies per month, totaling Rs. 15,000 per month for all three students, for a duration of two years. Additionally, a donation of Rs. 13,275 in books, pens, and other stationery materials was handed over directly to the students. This contribution was made by Lions Club members, including Lion Chaminda Godakandage, Lion Manoj Harshana, and President Lion Methsiri De Silva. The project aims to support students who have excelled in national exams, ensuring they have the necessary resources to continue their education. (K. Thisara Denuwan, who is an outstanding student, has been attending tuition classes for further education.)
