On 2025-04-10, we completed a vital project at Thalawa KV, Thalawa, Anuradhapura, directly benefiting over 400 students. This initiative, made possible with the generous support of a foreign donor, focused on establishing a new drinking water connection and upgrading the existing infrastructure. The enhancements included extending pipelines and improving water storage to ensure a reliable supply of safe drinking water. Our team managed all logistical arrangements and supervised project execution by Lion Saman Kindelpitiya.

ORGANIZING A HEALTH CAMP

As part of rural community health development efforts, the Piliyandala Lions Club organized a health camp in collaboration with Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital. The camp focused on educating children about oral health, promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and distributing toothpaste and Siddhalepa medicines. The total value of the event was 282,000 LKR.

Medical Clinic Camp - Awareness Program on Cancer

The medical clinic project organized in collaboration with the Lions Club of Polgasowita and the Mavitthara Samagi Welfare Society provided basic cervical cancer screening, breast cancer screening, oral examination, awareness raising on oral cancer, and a Western medical clinic.
