Lion Buthmal Joins District Ramadan Celebration

Lion Buthmal was invited and participated in the District Ramadan Event organized by Lions club of Matara Nilwala on March 12th at Sanaya Mansion Hotel, Matara. This special gathering brought people together to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan in unity and harmony.

ROARING WAVES: A Day of Swimming Excellence

The Roaring Waves project was a special training session for young swimmers under 19, led by Olympic champion Kyle Abeysinghe, his father Manoj Abeysinghe, and Killer Whales Aquatics from Colombo. This initiative aimed to enhance the swimming skills of students from Rahula College, Matara, and Lions Clubs in Region 10. A total of 78 students participated in the session, held from 8 AM to 12 PM. The event concluded with a certificate ceremony to recognize all participants, followed by a small treat. This program provided young swimmers a rare opportunity to train with top professionals, inspiring them to excel in the sport. Three lion members including the videographer were participated for this event from Lions Club of Matara Eagles.
